What is AAREWAH?
Legend has it that this is a CHANT very commony used in COEP (College Of Engineering Pune). It goes like this ...AARE WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH.
Where Can I find the information about the College?
The College Main page is located at the COEP page.
How come some members have their photo displayed when they post comments?
Those members have selected their avatars. If you want your phot to be displayed then edit your profile and upload your photo as your avatar. TIP: Use .jpg or .gif file in size 80X80 and less than 35KB If File extension is in CAPITAL .JPG, you will get error.
Why am I not able to access the member services?
These could be because of many reasons. Some users have reported that when Norton security is turned on users cannot post anything. What you can do is search the forums to see if someone has posted a solution to your problem. If not then start a thread describing your problem and see if some can suggest you any solution.
If you still can't find a solution then send an email to support@aarewah.com with a description of the problem as much information as you can.
Image Gallery
How Do I Upload Images?
Click on the Image Gallery Link under the Main Menu.
Click On Submit sub menu. This will bring up a form. Fill the details and then click submit.
Your Photo will be uploaded and will be sent fro approval. Once Approved the Image will be available for display.
How can I create a new Category for the Image Gallery?
ou cannot but you can send an email to the administrator at admin@aarewah.com and the administrator will create the category for you.
Is it possible to create a sub category in a category?
It is possible to do so. In fact a category can have any number of sub category and a sub category can have any number of sub categories.
In order to create a sub category send an email to the administrator at admin@aarewah.com and the administrator will create the sub category for you.
Forum
Can I create as many topics as I want in any forum?
Yes You can. But before creating just search and see if an existing one suits your needs
Can I create a new Forum?
You can not. But if you strongly feel that there is a need for a new forum send an email to support@aarewah.com
Blog
How can I write a new Blog?
First of all you need to have access to a Blog to be able to create a blog entry. In order to do so click on New Blog and create your blog. Name the Blog as Your Blog. Creating a new blog should be one time action and you should not need to create more than one blog. After the blog has been created you can creat as many blog entries as possible. Click on Write Blog and give a title to the Blog Entry and submit your entry.
Can I write a blog entry in someone else's blog?
You can, provided that user adds you as a blogger in his blog.
How can I add someone as a blogger to my blog?
Click on preferences sub menu in the Blog main menu and on the preferences page you can add the user with his user id. Once you have added the user, he can create new Blog entries in your Blog.
News
Who decides what news to be displayed?
You decide. If you have a news about COEP to submit then please do so. The administrator will approve the news for you. It is highy recommended that every member post as much content on the website to make it as interesting and useful as possible.
MediaWiki
What is Mediawiki?
It is a technology developed by Mediawiki. This allows users to edit any page in the Mediawiki section. It also allows users to create a new page.
How can I create a new Page?
Just provide a link to the page on any mediawiki page. If you click on it you will be directed to the page creation.
Why do I see an Editing Page when I click a link on a page? I just want to see it not edit it!
The way wiki works is that if you click a link for which the page doesn't exist, you get an opportunity to create it. If you know what to put in the page then please do so. On every Editing page ther is a link to Editing help on the page. Use it if you need help editing any wiki page.
Image Manager
I want to put some images on the items that I submit. How can I do that?
You can select any image that is available in the Image Manager. If you have any new image then upload it in the Image Manager first and then you can access it from anywhere.
