Dr. Chitale is very senior distinguished alumnus graduated from COEP in the year 1944 and completed BE (Civil). Subsequently, he did Ph.D (Hydraulic Engg) in 1967. He is also first D.Sc (Hydraulic Engg) of Pune University in 1981.
Mr. K.R. Natu is distinguished alumnus of COEP and passed B.E. (Mech and Elec) in the year 1954. He is a self-made person, a great achiever and a well known figure in the industrial world.
Dr. K.R. Phadke is one of the outstanding alumnus of COEP belonging to 1951 batch of telecommunication (1st batch of telecomm. Engineering). That time BE Telecommunication course was 3 ˝ years duration . Later on he did Ph.D (physics-telecom) of Pune University in the year 1955. He was first Ph.D from Pune University in the subject of telecommunication. He was a very active member of COEP boat club during his studentship.
- Mr. R. Vasudevan
Mr. R. Vasudevan is one of the outstanding alumnus completed B.E. Civil Engineering from C.O.E.P. He started his career as a Civil Engineer. He was working as a Project Executive with M/s. Cipla Ltd for a period of five years. After giving remarkable service to Cipla, Mr. Vasudevan thought of starting a Company of his own in the field of construction called“VASCON” in 1986.
Mr. Ravindra Mankani was graduated in Civil Engineering from COEP in the year 1979. Here is a classic example of an engineer pursuing entirely different career path as actor, director, film maker, cameraman who have also become very popular film and TV star. During his studentship right from school and college, he was associated with debating, elocution and acting. He won prestigious Purushottam Karandak award, best acting ‘Natavarya Keshavrao Date Award” and trophy. When he was in COEP, college won Firodiya Karandak consecutively two time in 1978 and 1979. All his previous experience in acting led him to pursue the present profession.
